Hi! I’ve been posting this question in practically every forum I came across for a week and apparently no one knows the anwser to something that didn’t seem that complicated at first.
I have a 2K router sharing a 256K connection to the internet to several external clients each with it’s own subnet.
what I need is a way to set the maximum amount of bandwith each client/subnet has, so that no one uses more than they should by contract. Subnet 1 – 64K, Subnet 2 – 128 K….Etc.
I thought about QoS but apparently it would need the clients to be part of the domain of the company with the 2k router and it would need each of them to have QoS agents or something. Since what is on each of the subnets is unknown and out of reach for the 2k router admins this gets a little trickier.
Any thoughts?
