Switch is hanging

We have one Unmanaged 16-port 10/100 Base-TX Switch, if we connect this switch in Novell environment, it creates problem, packets used to drop.
If we replace this switch with HUB in Novell environment, HUB will work fine.
Strange part is the sameswitch works fine in WINDOWS environment.
Can anyone help me in finding the solution.
