Symantec Enterprise Firewall (SEF)

I have a SEF 7.0 running on windows 2000. I have copied the configuration over from a 6.5 version. Other firewalls I have done this with are not having any problems. This firewall will randomly stop communicating. I cannot see any log entries stating that the NIC has shut down, nor any firewall logs explaining why it stopped talking. Any ideas?
