System Clock loses time

Windows 98 Computer

The clock in the Windows 98 tray is losing time. I replaced the CMOS battery and the clock kept the current time for about a week before it started lagging behind again. Are there any other things that I should look at(besides the battery) that might be causing the clock to lose time?
