system configuration data read error????

hi every one.
i was working on my laptop “IBM x31″ then i just hibernated it and when i started it again.it shown the problem”system configuration data read error”
press f1 for bios setup….
then i changed bios setting to default.
it starting working.
but on every restart i show the same problem.
then i do the same (bios setting to default)for going to window.
but it is still problem.
i cleaned ram changed window( I’m using xp)
but still problem even when i took out hard drive.
please help me out of this problem…
