TCP/IP cannot browse network

I have a W2K box on a Peer to Peer network that no longer can browse for boxes running strictly TCP/IP. I can see every one running netbeui and I can ping anyone else, I just cannot see them in “places”. At one point I performed a registry hack to hide myself from everyone else, but I have reversed this. How can I rejoin the world.
