TCP/IP Config Issues in w98se

I just upgraded 3 NIC’s on my customers peer to peer network of 9 pcs. All systems are w98se with 3com networking hardware.
There is 1 pc that will not see the entire network, it only sees itself. When I compaired the network setting to another pc on the network I noticed that the pc’s connected to the network show 2 TCP/IP configurations. 1 TCP/IP is generic , the other TCP/IP lists the type of network card installed.
I can’t get the pc to install the TCP/IP w/ the nic info, the only 1 thatshows up is the generic TCP/IP.
Any help with this would be great…..
I have also removed the NIC & re-installed without success.
