TCP/IP not installed

by rigutto . Updated 23 years, 2 months ago

I have Windows ME.
I had a DSL connection with a nic card.
Now I am going to cable with a wireless card.
I did have a Pocket PC active Sync hooked up.
I toke out the NIC card and loaded the software installed the wireless.
I tried to run no luck.
So I went to control panel network – probally removed to many things. The took out the wireless card but left my pocket pc conected.
Got a message on reboot “Mobile Device Property
The TCP/IP network not installed.”
Then I reloaded Windows Me from my upgrade CD and disconnected the Pocket PC.
All looked okay but before trying to install the wireless card I wanted to get Activesync running.
The earlier red cross message was taken care of but running ActiveSync install it says TCP/IP is not installed go to control panel setting network and install it – But I go there and it is installed.
When I did try to install the wireless card I noticed that the network properties screen for driver type NDIS would not allow me any chose any option all grey.
Thank you
