Temporary Internet Files

I noticed that temporary internet files tend to accumulate in NT roaming profiles after some time although I have already set the IE option for the amount of disk space to be used at the minimum. As such, the user profiles grow to a huge size & it takes a long time to login. Is there a way to prevent the temporary internet files from building up?
