Terminal svr print no longer functions

I keep getting event that says ‘an internal communication error occurred. Redirected printing will no longer function.’ on a Win 2000 server running terminal services. This typically follows the error ‘The printer could not be installed’ however the printing seems to work. Any ideas>>??
