The life cycle of LAN/WAN equipments

I have just been given the task of defining the End Of Life Cycle and lifetime of different LAN/WAN Data network equipments for my company. Can someone point me in the direction or papers that I can help me in this issue? i searched the vendors websites like Nortel and Cisco but got no results in this regards.
