theoretical stripset w/parity

A little confusion regarding above issue. In
preparation for my Enterprise exam,studying
Fault tolerance. My question is since system
& boot partition cannot be part of stripe set w/parity would it be correct to create a system partition & another partition during installation to store the installation files ie. WINNT.It could possibly be the entire free remaining space on the drive.Thereafter
the installation is complete, create your stripe set w/ parity. The nt server book i am reading now tells me the winnt folder cannot be part of stripe set.Since that is the case
i do not understand how i can recover if my disk0 is inaccessible where winnt folder resides & no referance to the folder in any other drive that i can point to in my boot.ini boot disk.i know i am making a lot of it but i am trying to recreate this at home for practise & i also hope i made a little sense to warrant a reply?MANY THANX FOR ANY INPUT–AZIZ
