I have a windows NT network of 200+ nodes. The server is running Windows Nt 4.0 and service pack 5, clients are using Windows 98 second edition. The problem is that whenver a user tries to shuts down his/her computer he gets the message “There are xusers(s) connected to your computer. Shutting down your computer will disconnect them. Do you want to continue ? yes/no “.
Although he have no resource shared on his computer or if he have any resource shared no one has accessed it. We can check the connected user with the help of Net Watcher utility in Windows 98 and can also disconnect him but the problem is this, the user who are connected to any resourese did not access that resource at all but other user gets the message that he is connected to his computer ? This makes no sense and creates confusion too at the user end.
Do any body have a solution for that ?
