Thermal tape for Athlon

Im in australia and im finding it very hard to find warrenty information for AMD prossessors i have a athlon xp2600+ and recently i had to take it from the mother board therefore removing the tape from the bottom of the heatsink does any one know what kind of tape is acceptable and weather it will void my warrenty if i use somthing different? i have found a website selling items titled AMD CPU Thermal
