Third party pocket cd on NT Workstation

by blackscar2000 . Updated 24 years, 12 months ago

I have been trying to install a Addonics CD98 (pocket CD) on a Toshiba Portege’ 7010CT running NT Workstation. Problem is the Sys. Control Mgr. consitently errors with the STATPNT.SYS not being able to start. Additionally, in the SCSI Adapters, the device shows however it is not started. I have tried to invoke starting the device but it errors out saying either a) the device is already started [even though it isn’t] or b) the device is no longer available. I have tried the following things to try and resolve this issue based on information from Addonics tech suppor-

Un-installed any and all pcmcia drivers and disattached machine from any port replicator or docking station.

Disabled associated (or what seems to be associated drivers) ATDisk.sys/PATDISK.sys

Re-installed NT SP5

Re-installed LATEST Addonics device driver from website.

I am having no luck. Has anyone run into anything similar to this?
