Time for delivery has expired…

Hello,

I have an Exchange 5.5 mail server and sometimes some message are not delivered. I get the following error message.

“A mail message was not sent because the maximum time for delivery has
expired. The message was not delivered to the following addresses:

The message that caused this notification was:”

Do you know what might causes this error message?
