Time running ahead 7 minutes

I have a workstation that consistantly runs ahead 7 minutes in the windows environment.
Time time stays current when not in the windows environment and when not connected to the network in the windows environment. I installed a new hard drive and loaded only windows 2000 and the time stayed correct. I’m wondering how time find at what point the software conflict is occuring (that’s what I’ve narrowed it down to). Any ideas?
