to read boot sector, FAT structure, root table entry in windows2k,98

Hi
I want to read boot sector, FAT structure and root directory entry of FAT16 and FAT32 on windows. (floppy drive or harddisk). I basically need this to learn more about all of them. Can anyone tell me how to read the bootsector image as text file for analysis.
