Helped a friend to reload a laptop with software. It is a Toshiba TE2100. He got sick of the laptop and sold it.
The guy that he sold it to decided to put a password on the BIOS as a security measure. Now he has forgotten the password!!!!!!!
I have tried all the back door passwords and they do not work.
Cannot use the floppy key as the PC does not have a floppy, even if it did this would not work as the machine comes up with the password request as soon as the machine is turned on.
Any suggestions appreciated. Or some information where I can download the service manual.
Took it to Toshiba here and they wanted $280 to unlock. There has to be a way.
Have been told of a way using USB key any one have any suggestiosn?
Thanks
Keith
