Toshiba TE2000 not booting up?

When i start my toshiba te2000 computer, the power light comes on and it normally says (when working) “Toshiba. In touch with tomorrow” but that doesn’t even come up. It is a struggle to start the computer up. I use it for school and the school owns it so i can’t really do much…. how long is the warranty for TE2000 laptops anyway? had it for almost three years…..
