touch pad(mouse) and quick launch buttons are not working?

I am using HP DV 6570EE , my touch pad(mouse) and quick launch buttons are not working,
there is no sound also…though all drivers seem to be installed
cant understand what is wrong…earlier the laptop had been repaired,, with some motherboard probs,, is it related to that…
or a harddisk problem..

keyboard also doesnt work ..needs a restart for the buttons to wrk
