Well, I ran just about every anti-virus option available on the UBCD disc – no joy.
Checked on the net and found copious entries for ‘Virus Protect Pro’ which my sad mate, had contracted whilst visiting certain sites pertaining to the scrotal regions of his body. In other words – the w*nk*r was into pron sites.
This virus is particulary F*KKING nasty. Every which way I turned – it popped up.
Couldn’t install anything from memory stick.
Couldn’t access Vista-proper.
Couldn’t access Vista in safe mode WITHOUT the virus.
Couldn’t access Windows Explorer from anywhere.
Couldn’t stop the virus popping up.
Couldn’t run System Restore successfully – tried three pre-virus restore points and each one failed to complete “due to system error”.
Only option – Full Destructive Recovery. (After five and a half hours of trying)
Let this be a warning to all and sundry – THIS VIRUS KILLS!!!
