Trend Chipway 1.62

Each time the system boots when starting the memory check the message Trend Chipway 1.62 appears. I’m running windows 98 first edition the one for new Pc’s and this was not happening in the beginning. it appeared without warning. Is it a problem andor how do I get rid of it. It does not show up as a program file or during a Norton virus scan.
