Treo 650 on XP Media Center Edition

I am attempting to help a home user who recently purchased a new computer with Windows XP – Media Center Edition. She also has a Treo 650 she would like to use on the new box.

Unfortunately, I found out that the unit would not hotsync the unit through its USB cradle. After performing some basic troubleshooting, I found an article on Palm’s site about how Palm devices, like the Treo 650, are not compatable with Windows XP MCE. I have scoured the web for a workaround or hack to get XP MCE to hotsync with the Treo 650. XP MCE can’t be THAT different from XP Home/Pro.

Is there anyone out there who may know of a resource where I can find a potential answer or is this one of those lost causes? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
