troubleshooting windows 10 lockup with ryzen 5 2600

Hi all, Recently I received a ryzen 5 2600
as an upgrade to my zen 3 2200g,
the problem I’m having is as soon as windows 10 loads to the log in screen and the startup circle starts spinning, the computer locks up completley, sometimes the circle doesnt even get a chance to spin and the system locks up, but in the bios the cpu works fine, its just crashing as soon as windows starts, ive updated to the latest bios.
mobo:msi B350M Pro Gaming
16gb G.skill Ripjaw 3000mhz
600 watt 80 plus bronze psu
msi radeon r9 290x gaming 4gb

any solutions would be greatly appreciated, thanks everyone.
