I am trying to set up a VPN connection at work and have stumbled on a problem.
I have a Server with it’s own domain ‘XXX’ which is on Windows 2000 DC, I have set VPN on this computer and it works well, however I also have a NT4 server withanother domain name ‘YYY’ which has all the files on it and want to be able to access them through the VPN tunnel.
I have been told I need to set up a ‘Trust’ between them, but everytime I try I get an error from the W2K server ‘A D can’t verify trust, other side doesn’t exist yet…. The error returned was: The secure database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship’.
I don’t understand what this means, could someone please tell me how to goabout getting the two Domain servers to communicate.
In the Win2k Server I have 2 network cards, No1 is on the same subnet as the NT4 PDC Server and No2 is on the ADSL subnet for internet access.
