tweak windows

After setting up windows 98/me/2000 for my users I want windows to automatically read the setup files (for example setting up an HP printer) from the windows .cab files on the HD instead of prompting me for the windows CD during any component installation.

1. Can someone provide me instructions to tweak the registry to point to the .cab files on the HD during an (printer) install process?
2. What directory should I copy the .cab files to?
