UMAX Astra 4000u Drivers

I recently upgraded ny PC to Win 2000 pro.
I was running Win 98 SE, I’ve now found that It does not recognize my Astra 4000u Scanner. I’ve gone to the UMAX Web site and they say “They’re Working On the” Called Tech Support and they Mimic that as well. What recourse do I have. Any suggestions?
