I have a Win2000 box that recently has begun generating an error almost every time we use Internet Explorer 6. It is an IE error in the HTML dll file. I am almost at the point of formatting the drive and re-installing from scratch, but I feel there is a registry key that can be changed that will allow a re-install of IE6.
If I can do that, and it still faults, then it is Format C: If that is done and it still faults, then we have a hardware problem I guess. I have done the usual stuff ofchanging memory sticks, repairing Internet Explorer, and restoring the BIOS to base settings but to no avail. The re-install option is my last shot before I format the drive.
Can anyone remember how it is done?
