Unable to access boot; CMOS ok

by tskowronski . Updated 23 years ago

Have Pentium 133, Packard Bell; 680 Motherboard;
Ami Bios 1.00.12 DNOR; Windows 98SE. Recently updated anti-virus software. Upon re-boot, Monitor graphics a maze of colors; boot stopped; no error message. Re-booted. CMOS ok but continuous beeping at OS load. Removed hard drive and installed into another PC. Used V-Com
System Suite Hard Drive Utilities. Utility function passed hard drive functionality but noted FAT corruption. Program could not recover
FAT. Gave box to tech who couldnot recover boot
drive, but made slave drive bootable. Is there any way at this point to recover files on this
failed drive? Thanks for any suggestions.
