Unable to display pages on browser

I’m trying to access my email with my laptop with a hotel’s internet system. My problem is, even though I can see that I’m connected to their network and I have an IP address, any time I try to access any web page, it comes up with a message that it is unable to display the web page just as if I’m trying access a web page without any connection
