Unable to find elusive IRC in Win2K Pro

Recently, one of my users wanted to know if her Win2K Pro notebook’s sluggish and erratic performance was due to some programs that were running upon bootup. I determinied that cleaing out the Start Up folder, disk maintenance and a memory upgrade (64MB – 128MB) would alleviate most issues, but couldn’t remove an Internet relay chat client named mIRC-I can’t locate it in Start Up, Task Manager, Services, Add/Remove Programs or on the HDD. Where should I look?
