Unable to join W2K Server Domain

My client has a W2K Pro worstation that we are trying to add to at W2k Server Domain. No problems joining a workgroup on the server. However receive the error “Unable to join the XYZ domain: Network path not found” Have added workstation account to the server, use had Domain Admin rights, and can manually log into server and see all pc’s on network.
