Unable to load DLL PRESINTL

After a home user reported a virus on his PC, and upgraded his McAfee VirusScan, he gets an error on Startup saying ‘Unable to Load DLL PRESINTL’
Is a Windows 98 service pack able to fix this, or is there anything more that can be done to cure this?
