Unable to map network drive

I’m unable to map to some folders on our network. When I right click on the folder, it doesn’t even give me the option to map. Has anyone run into this? This is an NT domain. The folders that I’m trying to map to are compressed. I can’t find anything on Microsoft’s web site about this.
