Hi,
When broadband guy came he worked 5+ hours to get connected and failed. His solution was I needed to reinstall Win2k because he thought winsock was corrupted. I did, and it worked. A week later I lost connection and did everything I could think of. After reinstalling win2k again, it worked. It’s 4 days later, and I am AGAIN unable to obtain an IP address from the DHCP server. I refuse to reinstall Windows again… what gives? I have been up and down the MS KB, nothing there. I have a packet sniffer installed and if I run ipconfig /renew it sends the packets but I get nothing back… if I reinstall though it works. Anyone got a solution to this tricky problem? (Formatting the hard drive and starting over doesn’t count unless you can explain why that’s necessary!) Thanks!!!
