Unauthorised use of Service

by wash . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

I am running Windows Services For Unix (SFU) Beta on a Windows NT 4 Server (SP5). I am specific about SFU because I tend to think it is the culprit in my dilemna. The installed components for SFU are Telnet Server/Client, and Client for NFS. I used to have Gateway for NFS component that I removed but still my problem is not solved.
My problem is that my NT server lives in a network which has many UNIX servers and the administrators are complaining that the NT Server is illegally trying to access the TCP wrapped service PORTMAP and it does this on all the 4 Unix servers on our network. It is important for me to state here that I use 3 IP Addresses on my server but all are in the hosts.allow in all the Unix servers.
Does anyone know what I am supposed to do before I am told to chuck the SFU alltogether by the Unix Administrators?? Why would SFU try to use portmap??? I think it is SFU and not any other WinNT service because the complaints started pouring in when I decided to try my hand on SFU.
