Unchecking lots of “Read Only” files

I have over 300 MP3 “Read Only” files that I would like to uncheck. I’ve heard it is possible to do it in MS-Dos, but I’m not familiar with how MS-Dos operates. Can anyone help me? Thanx! Meri
