Unexplained Event Application Error

I’ve done a fresh install of Windows 2000 Pro on a machine, which I’ve done routinely forever.

This time, after going through all of the Windows Updates, somehwere in the mix I ended up with an error in my events viewer in the Application category. The error is stated as such:

Category=None
Event ID: 1000
User NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM
Description:
Windows cannot unload your registry file. If you have a roaming profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator.

DETAIL – Access is denied. , Build number ((2195)).

I don’t know how much effect this will have on the user,but I do no that now the ‘regclean.exe’ program will not run. Someone have any insight on what I can do to fix this?
