Unix and networking

We have linked two branches via DSL using Cisco 1751 routers patton v35 modems.The two branches are on different ip ranges.If we put the router ip addresses as default gateway,the windows machines are able to see/ping each other but we are unable to ping our Unix server on the other side.Help
