Unknown Device

Due to a crash windows 98 se was reinstalled and all device were recognized and drivers were installed except a ghost device for which I am unable determine the driver. This does not effect the performance though. When the O/S was upgraded to XP theghost was eliminated. However, due to conflict of compatibility(known for XP)the system was restored to 98SE. Ther come the Ghost device.
Any one can help me how to determine which this ghost device refers to?
