Updating Windows 9x registration number

I’m not sure if anyone has already asked this question, but here goes…

I’m using a disk imaging software to duplicate software on multiple computers. Now I want to go back to each of the computer and update the windows authorization or registration number to match what it really came with. How do I go about doing that?
