uprgrade from 98 to 2000pro

Hello,
I’ve recently upgraded all of our PC’s from win98 to win2000professional. The upgrade went smoothly but some of our software that was made before win2000 is not compatable. I know in XP there are compatability options that will allow me to convince the .exe file that it is running on a compatable version of windows, but that doesn’t seem to be an option in win2000. Does anyone know of a way to do this in win2000? Thanks
