USB Camera Problems

Hope you can help?

I have a problem installing a digital camera (USB) in a
windows XP enviroment, intially I was experiencing error
messages when I installed the drivers informing me that
the PC did not have enough disc space when I have more
than enough so I was not able to install the drivers. Now
I has removed all drivers and still have the digital camera
detected in device manager but when I attempts to un-
install the device I keep getting the following error
message “this device cannot be removed because it is a
boot device”. This camera has been tried on a number of
different PC’s with the same results, can you advise on
how to resolve this issue. This is quite urgent
