USB flash drive detected but cant be seen anywhere

I have a toshiba 2gb USB 2.0 flash drive.

The flash drive works properly at 2.0 speed on any other computers.

plugg in to my laptop. the Flash drive is detected i can see it at the safely remove hardware icon.

The problem is when i go to my computer. I dont see it there. and it detects the drive as high speed drive plug into a low speed slot.

I already check that i have the enhanced USb driver installed. (this is happening to all my other USB device running only at 1.1)

i am using Winxp pro sp2
laptop is IBM R50
