USB port problems?

my computer says to format my usb drive everytime i insert it and then says that it cannot be formatted and i cannot use the usb drive anymore on my computer. I have tried different USB drives and all the USB ports of the computer but same problem prevails. But the same USB drives work on my laptop. When i check properties of the USB drive on the computer they show 0 bytes empty and 0 bytes used space though there are data stored in the USB drive. How can i solve this problem
