usb printer and other peripherals no longer shows up

Has anyone ever had there usb drivers continue to get loaded but Windows XP Pro w/SP2 no longer recognize pnp devices?

I have followed the other thread of unused usb drivers, but none of that has helped so far – though I’ve learned lots from all the postings.

Does anyone have any suggestions that I can try re: getting my pc to recognize those PnP devices again, e.g. all in one printer, memory sticks, camera.
