User account locked out ever vpn

I connect to my network via windows vpn client and all is fine when conneting to resources except one. When I connect to one of my servers via \\ipaddress\ I get denied access and my account gets locked out in AD. I can connect to every other server on my lan without any problems. My client is XP Pro sp2 server is Windows 2003(all servers are win 2003). Has anyone heard of this and if so any advice as to what is wrong. Thanks
