User accounts in W2k

I have set up a small home network running Advanced Server on my strongest PC, and 4 other PC’s running W2k Professional. I have tried, with no success, to create and logon with a user account. The message I receive is that the domain is not available. Active Directory is installed, and a domain has been created. All PC’s are able to logon to the domain, but only as Administrator. I even tried using a trial version of ScriptLogic, but apparently I’m too “Green” to configure it properly. I’m studying for certification and thought maybe hands-on would help me to get a better prospective. I have searched Web sites, and as yet have not found the information that I need to create a usable user account. Maybe this isn’t possible with W2k,and only possible with NT 4?
