User can’t browse newly created cubes

I use SQL 2000 (standard edition) with Analysis services. When a client
wants to create new report or extract data from newly created cubes from
ms excel 2000,(9.0.3821 SR-1), the client is unable to browse the newly
created cubes with
?Microsoft OLE db provider for olap services?but they can browse the old
cubes. But the client is able to browse all cubes and create report
using ?Microsoft ole db provider for olap services 8.0?. The server
environment is windows 2000 sp1.

Can anyone explain to me why in the workstation only have 1 type of
oledb provider but in the server has 2 types.
